The 5Y series LED strips are professional LED strips. They are distinguished by high CRI color rendering index. The strips make it possible to obtain a line of light of uniform color, thanks to low color temperature dispersion. They are covered by as long as 7-year warranty. They are embedded on a 3oz PCB substrate, which minimizes voltage drops. The LED strips come with a Tesa 4965 mounting strip.
The ultra warm white color is most similar to the light of traditional light bulbs. Light sources of this color will be ideal in rooms used for leisure and recreation. Warm light is used in homes and apartments, making rooms more cozy.
The IP20 LED strips, despite not having a silicone cover, are coated with a thin protective layer. This acts as an insulator to protect the product from minor contaminants. The strip is used in areas where there is no need for waterproof products.
The CRI indicates how the colours of the item being lit are rendered. The higher the value, the more natural objects look. Natural, that is, as if illuminated by daylight. The use of a strip with a CRI of more than 90 reflects the true colour of the objects in the room where the LED strip is used.
A 24V LED strip guarantees lower voltage drops compared to a 12V LED strip. This is particularly important when installing longer sections of strip in series. While we recommend connecting the 12V LED strips (with single-sided power supply) in a maximum of 5 metre lengths, the 24V strips allow you to create up to twice as long LED strip sections.
The LED strips are light sources powered by a low, so-called safety voltage. This means that in order to install the LED lighting system, we need a power supply unit that allows the mains voltage to be reduced to the voltage required by the product being installed. In the case of the LED strips, we are talking about 12V or 24V. When choosing the power supply, it is also necessary to calculate the output of the power supply, which is determined by the length and power of the LED strip used. When selecting the LED power supply, after calculating the power required, it is considered a good practice to increase the value by about 10%.
