The 3Y LED strip series is a line of products intended for professionals. 3Y LED strips are signed with the LED Labs Lighting brand and covered by an extended warranty period. LED strips with an IP 20 rating are subject to a five-year warranty period. Thanks to the use of a PCB primer with 3oz copper, it was possible to significantly increase their service life. The 3Y series also has noticeably lower voltage drops compared to standard LED strips. The 3Y series LED strips are finished with a professional Blue Tape mounting tape, allowing for immediate application in a cleaned LED profile.
RGB LED strips allow you to obtain lighting from the RGB color palette. This means that by choosing this type of tape, we can obtain any color of light. RGB strip is often used for decorative lighting, as gaming lighting or media wall illumination. RGB LED strips require the installation of an LED controller.
IP20 tapes are covered only with a thin layer of varnish. This does not protect against water or dust, but provides protection against water vapor. The lack of a silicone cover allows for better heat dissipation, which extends the life of the LED strip.
When installing longer sections of LED strip, it is worth choosing a 24V strip. This will reduce voltage drops that could occur when installing a 12V tape. Additionally, thinner wires can be used to install the 24V strip, which will make it easier to hide them during installation.
The 5050 diode is a larger diode than the frequently encountered 3528 and 2835 diodes. The increased size allows for greater light emission. Often used as functional lighting, e.g. for lighting a bathroom mirror. LED strips with a density of 30 LEDs per meter consume less electricity than strips based on the same diodes but with a higher density. Tape is more energy efficient, but beading may occur. The tape is recommended for installation in hidden spaces.
The LED strip requires the installation of a power supply. When choosing a power supply, you should take into account the output voltage (it must be the same as the voltage of the LED strip), installation location and power. The power of the power supply depends on the power and length of the LED strip section. The power of the tape should be multiplied by its length. We recommend adding 10% to the calculated power of the power supply.
Professional LED strips are a proven and thoroughly tested product in our photometric laboratory. Many years of experience in the lighting industry have allowed us to refine important details regarding high-quality LED strips and their long service life.
Professional tapes, different from Standard tapes, are characterized by a higher luminous flux, so despite using the same LED strip power, the light emitted by a professional tape can be up to half as much as a Standard tape.
An additional advantage of using professional tape is that the tape life is more than twice as long.
Another advantageous feature of professional tapes is their repeatability. The selection of diodes is at a much higher level, thanks to which we can obtain a uniform color along the entire length of the tape (+- 10%).
