Product description

3Y LED strips are a series of strips with an extended warranty period. The warranty is 5 years for tapes with IP20 protection level and 3 years for IP65HS tapes. Additionally, the tapes are characterized by lower voltage drops thanks to the 3oz copper backing. Equipped with Blue Tape mounting tape.

RGBWW LED strip

RGBWW LED strips are RGB strips equipped with an additional diode emitting warm white light. Typically, in RGB strips, the white color is obtained by turning on three diodes at the same time. However, it is not a perfectly white color, often having, for example, blue tint. In RGBWW strips, this problem was eliminated by equipping them with an additional diode that emits white light.

IP20 LED strip

LED strips with IP20 protection class are covered with a thin protective layer, which protects them against small pollutants. However, they do not have any additional protection, therefore they are not recommended in applications where increased resistance to moisture is required.

300 LED 5050 SMD strip

The 5050 diode is a diode with a larger size than the frequently encountered 3528 and 2835 diodes. The density of the LED strip included in the product name is nothing more than the number of diodes mounted on one meter of the LED strip. The number of LEDs per meter of the LED strip affects the uniformity of illumination of the strip mounted in the LED profile. To obtain the desired effect of a uniform line of light, you should consider the densest possible LED strip, especially where the application takes place in a shallow LED profile, which may limit the dispersion of light emitted by LED diodes. The density of the tape also has a direct impact on the frequency of marked cutting places of the LED tape. LED tapes with a density of 60 LEDs per meter are tapes in which it is possible to obtain uniform light. By selecting the appropriate profile and lampshade, you can achieve the effect of a line of light.

Requires installation of a power supply

LED strips are light sources powered by low, so-called safe voltage. This means that to install an LED lighting system, we need a power supply that allows the mains voltage to be reduced to the voltage required by the product being installed. In the case of LED strips, we are talking about 12V or 24V voltage. When choosing a power supply, it is also necessary to calculate the power of the power supply, which results from the length and power of the LED strip used. When selecting an LED power supply, after calculating the required power, it is good practice to increase the value by approx. 10%

Requires installation of LED driver

RGBWW LED strips need an LED controller to function properly. Thanks to it, it is possible to select color parameters from the RGB color palette or change to warm white light. The controller is mounted behind the power supply, so it is important to select the appropriate voltage.

Why is it worth choosing the professional version of the LED strip?

Professional LED strips are a proven and thoroughly tested product in our photometric laboratory. Many years of experience in the lighting industry have allowed us to refine important details regarding high-quality LED strips and their long-term durability.

Professional tapes, different from Standard tapes, have a higher luminous flux, thanks to which, despite using the same LED strip power, the light emitted by a professional tape can be up to half as much as that of a Standard tape.

An additional advantage of using professional tape is that the life of the tape is more than twice as long.

Another advantageous feature of professional tapes is their repeatability. The selection of diodes is at a much higher level, thanks to which we can obtain a uniform color along the entire length of the tape (+- 10%).
