3Y LED strips are a series of strips with an extended warranty period. The warranty is 5 years for tapes with IP20 protection level and 3 years for IP65HS tapes. Additionally, the tapes are characterized by lower voltage drops thanks to the 3oz copper backing. Equipped with Blue Tape mounting tape.
RGB LED strip
RGB LED strips allow you to obtain lighting from the RGB color palette. This means that by choosing this type of tape, we can obtain any color of light. RGB strip is often used for decorative lighting, as gaming lighting or media wall illumination. RGB LED strips require the installation of an LED controller.
IP65HS LED strip
IP65 Heat Shrink is a solution that involves using a heat shrink band around the entire LED strip. Unlike the silicone coating that protects classic IP65 LED strips, it allows you to maintain high lighting parameters with very high resistance to moisture and splashes.
150 LED 5050 SMD strip
The 5050 diode is a larger diode than the common 3528 and 2835 diodes. The density of the LED strip determines how many diodes there are per meter of the strip. The more diodes on a meter of LED strip, the more uniform and strong the light is. LED strips with a density of 30 LEDs per meter are characterized by low power consumption. Fewer diodes translate into lower light intensity.
Requires installation of a power supply
The LED strip requires the installation of a power supply. When choosing a power supply, you should take into account the output voltage (it must be the same as the voltage of the LED strip), installation location and power. The power of the power supply depends on the power and length of the LED strip section. The power of the tape should be multiplied by its length. We recommend adding a 10% margin to the calculated power of the power supply.
Requires installation of LED driver
A driver is needed to install the RGB LED strip. Thanks to it, it is possible to change the color from the RGB color palette. When choosing a driver, an important parameter is voltage (the driver is mounted between the power supply and the LED strip).
Why is it worth choosing the professional version of the LED strip?
Professional tapes, different from Standard tapes, have a higher luminous flux, thanks to which, despite using the same LED strip power, the light emitted by a professional tape can be up to half as much as that of a Standard tape.
An additional advantage of using professional tape is that the life of the tape is more than twice as long.
Another advantageous feature of professional tapes is their repeatability. The selection of diodes is at a much higher level, thanks to which we can obtain a uniform color along the entire length of the tape (+- 10%).
