Product description
The 3Y series of LED strips are strips with an extended warranty period. For tapes with protection class IP65 and IP65HS, the warranty period is 3 years, for IP20 tapes, it is a 5-year warranty! Additionally, 3Y series tapes are characterized by lower voltage drops thanks to the PCB backing used with 3oz copper. The tapes have double-sided Blue Tape mounting tape.
RGB LED strip
RGB LED strips allow you to obtain lighting from the RGB color palette. This means that by choosing this type of tape, we can obtain any color of light. RGB strip is often used for decorative lighting, as gaming lighting or media wall illumination. RGB LED strips require the installation of an LED controller.
IP20 LED strip
IP20 LED strips, although they do not have a silicone cover, are covered with a thin protective layer. It is an insulator that protects the product against minor contamination. The tape is used in places where there is no need to use products with increased water resistance.
Requires installation of a power supply
Each LED strip needs a properly selected power supply to operate. When choosing a power supply, you should take into account the voltage (12V power supply for 12V tapes), the power of the tape and the place where the power supply will ultimately be located. The power of the power supply depends on the power of the tape, taking into account its length. The power of the LED strip given for one meter should be multiplied by its length. It is recommended to add 10% of the power supply reserve. Depending on the installation location, furniture power supplies, hermetic power supplies, and slim power supplies are available.
Requires installation of LED driver
A driver is needed to install the RGB LED strip. Thanks to it, it is possible to change the color from the RGB color palette. When choosing a driver, an important parameter is voltage (the driver is mounted between the power supply and the LED strip).
Why is it worth choosing the professional version of the LED strip?
Professional tapes, different from Standard tapes, have a higher luminous flux, thanks to which, despite using the same LED strip power, the light emitted by a professional tape can be up to half as much as that of a Standard tape.

An additional advantage of using professional tape is that the life of the tape is more than twice as long.
Another advantageous feature of professional tapes is their repeatability. The selection of diodes is at a much higher level, thanks to which we can obtain a uniform color along the entire length of the tape (+- 10%).
