The 5Y series are LED strips with a seven-year warranty. Careful selection of diodes ensures uniform light color along the entire length of the LED strip. They are characterized by a low dispersion of color temperatures at SDCM level 3 (Standard Deviation Color Matching). An additional advantage is a high color rendering index CRI (90) and a 3oz PCB primer. Each LED strip has a tesa 4965 double-sided adhesive tape, which is the best double-sided tape on the market.
Neutral color is the color that is closest to sunlight. This is the most universal color of LED strips, which can be used both in home spaces and in workplaces. Such light is not tiring for the human eye. Neutral LED strip is also a good solution for office lighting. The neutral white color is perfect for rooms where we spend a lot of time.
IP20 LED strips, although they do not have a silicone cover, are covered with a thin protective layer. It is an insulator that protects the product against minor contamination. The tape is used in places where there is no need to use products with increased water resistance.
The CRI value ranges from 0 to 100. A value of 100 means color reproduction at the level of natural daylight. Most LED products have a CRI of 80, which can be considered suitable for indoor use. Level 90 and higher allows for almost perfect color reproduction and will work even in the most demanding places.
Diode 2835 - it is an energy-saving diode of small size. This is a more powerful alternative to the 3528 diode. The density of the LED strips indicates the number of diodes per meter of the LED strip. The number of diodes has a key impact on the presence of beads in LED strips, i.e. visible light points. The higher the density (the more diodes there are per meter of tape), the more uniform the light is, creating the so-called line of light. The number of diodes also affects the cutting section of LED strips. The more diodes, the more often we can cut the tape. Tapes with a density of 128 LEDs/m allow for obtaining a uniform line of light. To prevent the light beads from being visible, it is recommended to install the profile with an appropriate lampshade.
Thanks to 24V voltage, we can connect up to twice as long sections of LED strips when connecting in series than with 12V LED strips. This is due to lower power consumption. Lower power consumption will also translate into a smaller cross-section of wires needed for installation, which will make it much easier to hide them during installation.
LED strips are powered by low, safe voltage. You need a power supply to connect them. The choice of power supply depends on the parameters of the LED strip. 24V tapes need a power supply with an output voltage of 24V. Another important aspect is appropriate power. The power of the power supply must be adapted to the power and length of the tape being installed. If the length of the LED strip is 5 m, the power of the LED strip should be multiplied by 5.
